hunger pains

the song of spring

still just a whisper, teasing

with a sun that shines through chilly days.

each hungry bird waits patiently for

new growth, new life, new seed.

soon, i tell them, soon

we will eat our fill

on endless

Beautiful . . . I could hear birdsong this morning evening though it’s dark, grey and raining.

You’ve woven these words together beautifully and handed me the hope of spring. Thanks!

Beautiful prose and photo! I love watching all the birds at our feeder. They’re so charming. Tigger the cat, thinks they are very amusing, also!
