goodbyes the color of roses
Today is a sad day for our family, as we say goodbye to our oldest cat.
She has been with us for eighteen years,
as long as my husband and I have been together.
It feels like the end of an era.
The sun is shining, and just now,
she has found a patch of bright light to sit in.
And that is how I will remember her best.

Peace and blessings to you and your family. What a wonderful, long life your kitty has had with you!
My family is in a similar position. Our dog is also 18 years old, and he is not doing well. There have been days lately when we have considered that we’d have to say goodbye. It probably won’t be long.
