one year, two hearts
One year ago today I started this blog with a post called on getting a grip.
I had no idea whatsoever what I was doing, I had a couple of dreams in my pocket and all these words in my mind and a graphic design and jewelry business to maintain.
It’s been a wonderful ride, this past year. A few of the dreams even came true, being published in Artful Blogging was certainly one of them. Writing again was another. And photography, another still. It has been a year of fulfillment. Those two hands are still here, working away everyday at creating something.
A life. An artist. A writer.
This space has become a part of who I am.
Thank you all for reading and for listening and encouraging and supporting.

These earrings were made by my sister, Conni, my partner in my jewelry business. She’s a bit camera-shy and so I don’t talk about her all that much here, but she is as much a part of Blue Muse Jewelry as I am. I heart her. And we heart you…
Each heart measures 3/8 inch by 1/2 inch and is handmade from precious metal clay, all other metal is sterling silver.

What do I heart today? I heart Valentines day! I was once told the way to make a marriage last is to act as if everyday is your wedding day. I found out last week a new friend of mine celebrates Christmas year round and that made me think …why can’t I do the same with Valentines day? So I bought a cute lil second hand red w/hearts purse and my first tube of bright red lipstick! So I heart hearts!

Gorgeous earrings.
What do I heart today? Painting with children. Today we stamped with bubble wrap to make a background for our astronauts. They loved it and I am covered with grey paint. But it was so much fun getting 40 5 year olds all stamping and making mess with paint.

I heart that Spring is here. Or almost. Despite the rain, the cherry blossom trees are blooming, the red-tail hawks gliding in (occasional) blue skies scudded with clouds. The creek by my house still runs from the heavy rains but I heart the sound. And your blog. Happy, happy birthday. You are creating a wondrous thing.
