bountiful
Everyone I talk to keeps saying the same thing: they can’t believe it is Thanksgiving already.
For me, this year was far less of a blur than last year and the year before that, and I am very grateful. I made a choice to savor life a little more this year, remove as much busy as I could, cut back on shows and perfection and worry and stress. It was a good decision.
And now I sit here on this frosty morning with a purring kitten in my lap, and there is so much to be thankful for.
How easily we forget that.
Life is never perfect. It isn’t supposed to be.
It’s supposed to be full. We’re supposed to feel it all, the joy, the pain, the boredom, the anxiety. The sun on our faces in summer, the cold biting wind of winter. Flood and drought, storm and calm, day and night.
These are the lessons I’ve learned this year.
Plenty of them, ripe, for the taking.
A feast of fortitude.

Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with love and light.

“A feast of fortitude” – I love that. Yes, it has been a rough year but I/we do have much to be thankful for. Thank you for this beautiful reminder.

Thank you for your sweet wishes. I hope my Thanksgiving is full of that. Today we have a dreaded medical appointment in Baltimore. I had the choice of today or next Wednesday and am now kicking myself for the choice I made. But I’ve already taken a boatload of time off work, so why waste another day. At least, that was my reasoning at the time.
I’m glad I stopped by here ~ I needed to hear your soothing words.

I am in love with that picture and grateful for your inspirational presence in my life. What I believe is possible in the world has expanded since I began reading your work and seeing through your lens.

You sound like you’re in a great place. Thanksgiving definitely snuck up on me this year but I blame the house move for throwing me out of whack. Trying not to stress about everything I have to get done before Christmas. :0)
