whew
monday must be a metaphor for something, right?
i am having a hard time keeping up lately, with everything.
but busy is good.
at least that is what i keep telling myself.
and deep down, i know it’s true.
::
don’t you just love the word ranunculus?
it’s one of my favorites.
you might think it’s silly to have favorite words.
but i do.
rapscallion is another.
and verisimilitude.
and serendipity.
and
okay, fine
i’ll stop.
::
do you have any favorite words?
do tell.

Lovely post – and such a wonderful thought. Words we love because of how they sound. For me: ameliorate. Music to my ears.

those are some words,missy-am on my way to look them up-I for the most part use a big ol’ dictionary. one my mom gave me…be right back serendipity, I do know & love & use often , in my head and with my voice.
ranunculus ~ well that was fun, a did require slow sleuthing…& what a lovely prize- a buttercup. Always a treat to spot the first ones of the season…& the fun & joy continue to bring joy, when spotted, always.
thank you mrsm for this reminder.
Rapscallion – I do love that word I find rascal quaint as well.
verisimilitude ~ that one was new to me ( the first clue veri-truth escaped me… what a word, what a meaning .
I liked this. I like that you keep on.
will share some of my favourite words…soon. xo

Kakofonie. Boterbloempje. Peutertje.
And in English: Chicken pot pie. Don’t know why. It somehow makes me really think of an afternoon in an English setting, where Agatha Christie can walk in any moment. Or Beatrix Potter. Or…
I’ll stop now too 😉
Great picture!
