better late
My world is slowly turning green. And I am reminded of how I truly have nothing to complain about. Yes, we have had non-stop rain for the past month, but that is nothing compared to what so many others are going through.
We actually had tornado warnings here yesterday, something almost unheard of in Upstate New York. Thankfully, it ended up just being really windy in some places, but there were no actual tornadoes.
My heart goes out to all of those that have had to go through them, it feels like Mother Nature is really, really upset about something this year.
It can be hard to stay positive sometimes, when there is so much going on in the world that seems so sad and negative. These tiny leaves reminds me that life goes on, always.
And so, today I find myself feeling grateful.
For this green, this life,
this brief moment
in the sun.

It is always the small things that ground us, isn’t it?

Grateful, indeed. (I’m in Northeast Jersey, we seem to just escaped the tornado warnings, but have expected severe thunderstorm warnings.)
Beautiful photo!

Thanks for the beautiful green moment! So needed, as we’ve had snow flakes coming down all day. Yep, I’m not kidding 🙁 But, I’m dreaming of your green-ness!

After watching the sad news out of the south, I find I can’t complain about the slow spring I’m experiencing!

We had the craziest storm roll through here. It started last night and was still going strong this morning. I was cursisng when I noticed that our basement was partially flooded this morning but soon thought how lucky we are considering what so many others are struggling with right now. The splash of green that’s decided to make an appearance certainly helps lift the spirits.

I think we’re all grateful for not being struck by tornadoes in the middle of the day and night. Such an exquisitely beautiful..and simply perfect piece of green.

A beautiful photo and a beautiful thought.
The weather has been ” not so nice” here too. It’s always refreshing to see the crape myrtles break dormancy. It is a true sign of brighter days.

Beautiful shot! And I like the effect you put on it.
Well, at least we can try for peace within, when the world outside is tumultuous. I know easier said than done sometimes, but it’s a goal of mine!
Happy greening!!

Yes, indeed. So much to be grateful for today & everyday. We live in the midwest where storms can rage; but, so far, our area has been spared the devastation the South is receiving. Praying for those who’ve been effected. And praying for some calm…

Thank you for your wonderful sharing and caring thoughts. I live up here in the Northern Corner of our country, but all my family lives in around Tuscaloosa, AL… That region has suffered & its people are struggling. I will be positive about the weather and temps here. I know that spring will come on its own good time!
