JEWELRY

color week, in red and pink

Illumination of a star…

Don’t you just love bleeding hearts? They make me sigh…

Shadows that sing songs to my mind…

Pretty in pink, a tulip that whispers of yesterday…

Ravishing in red, this one also past its prime, but still, somehow, lovely…

This week I am participating in color week over at Curious Girl.  Pop over to her site and check out the side-bar blog roll to see more wonderful color week photos…

Since you’ve probably already guessed that I am really into color, this seemed like a fun challenge to undertake. There will be lots of photos, probably less writing, but I will be here, sharing, every day this week.

A while back I created my own color series in poetry and collage, you can find my red post here.

If you go there, be sure to check out the comment that my 72-year-old dad (Deetz) left me, it really made me smile, and then laugh. You probably have to know him to truly appreciate it, but my dad never says things like that. It gave me such a chuckle…

Anyway, happy Macro Monday, happy color week, tomorrow, blue…

Ah, just wonderful!

gorgeousness! love those bleeding hearts.

it is the pink tulip, just past its prime, that has stolen my heart…looking forward to blue tuesday..at the blue muse.

xoxo

I love the bleeding hearts as well. Great job.

Thanks for sharing.

Your blog is beautiful, I’m so glad that Color Week led me to you.

So beautiful! I love the red glass! It’s all so inspiring!

Great photos! Love the red glass star!

Beautiful image of the bleeding heart and the tulip!

I love those bleeding hearts – so pretty. I don’t have any pink in my space so I’m really enjoying seeing it in other’s posts. My favourite is the one with the shadows – is it a cushion or a chair? Whatever it is, for me it’s somewhat nostalgic, and very calm and inviting – lovely.

p.s. I went to read your Dad’s comment – brilliant! He’d obviously given it some serious thought. I don’t know your Dad of course, but in light of what you’d said about him, it really made me smile.

such a perfect challenge for you kelly!

and truly lovely images… ADORE… completely…

happy monday, happy week! xxo, kim

your photos are mindblowing! incredible start to colour week, i can’t wait to see what you come up with tomorrow!

The flowers are so gorgeous!

Love the old red chair, it looks so “peaceful.”

There are so many great shots in this grouping of reds. That couch looks so inviting.

Beautiful pictures. All of them.

I love bleeding hearts too. And I think the English name is much more fitting than the Dutch name for them, which is Broken Hearts.

I love your texture shot! Nice!

Yes, the bleeding hearts make me sigh, from their delicate leaves to their tears. And I love how you captured the velvet of the tulip.

I love the tulip ! the texture is gorgeous and its colour as well !

welcome
