but they seem so much confetti

for a hummingbird’s
celebration of spring and life
and endless cycles

it’s hard to imagine
what life must be like on the wing
of such a tiny, speeding bird

but it’s not at all difficult
to see why they are drawn
to the siren song

of summer

Kelly is this flower lantana? and if so does it grow wild where you live.
Here in Ontario it is only an annual but at home in Australia it grows wild. I do miss it and often buy it as an annual this time of year.

Gorgeous! I was shocked the first summer we found hummingbirds here at 10,000 feet.

i’ve never seen this flower, at least not as a hummingbird. wow!

Just catching up here ~ been so busy I feel like I’m spinning. xo
